Have you tried injecting alcohol into the foam and setting the print head in a shallow pan of alcohol? You can let it soak overnight with the alcohol in the foam and in the shallow pan of alcohol and if that cant unclog it then I'd pretty much call it hopeless.

Thanks QD but I guess I no longer need to do anything, in my enthusiasm I gave the cart a real long hot burst of steam and the printer no longer recognises the cart, guess I must have scr**ed up the tracks.
But thanks for your time and help. Would love to read a documented post listing various things in order that need to be done when working with carts that have not been used for a long time and are clogged real bad.
