Canon BCI ink in CLI-221 cartridges?

Can I use my BCI ink from Sensient in the new CLI-221 cartridges/printers?.... MP560 specifically. If not, can I use CLI-8 compatible ink in CLI221 cartridges/printers? Found a Sensient dealer with BCI or CLI-8 ink.

Re: Canon BCI ink in CLI-221 cartridges?

Hello,

yes you can: only the colours might be a bit off. If you can choose between the older BCI-3/6 ink and the newer CLI-8 compatible ink, go for the CLI-8 ink to refill your CLI-221 cartridges.

You maybe want to use the latest Inktec CLI-221/521 and PGI-220/520 compatible refill inks to refill your cartridges. They seem to have improve the recipe to enhance the fade resistance and the gamut of the colours.

Using Hobbicolors UW-8 ink + KMP-PMT pigment ink. Printers: Epson 1400 A3+ with Inkrepublic.com IRK4-nano pigment CISS, Canon MX850 AIO and now my latest purchase: an Epson Pro 3800 A2 large format printer + refillable T580x cartridges refilled with pigment ink from Precisioncolors.com.
