Hi,
A couple of years ago I bought some non-OEM carts manufactured by OA100 for my Canon Pixma MP780 and ended up replacing the print head. I like this printer A LOT!
I don't want to be a refiller. I'm looking for good, non-OEM, already filled replacement carts that have ink that won't damage the printer (print head). Is anybody making them? Or should I just continue to buy the OEM Canon carts which NEVER go on sale and which neither Staples of Office Depot offers a $3 rebate for empty carts.
I've always been curious about that. Why do the big office supply companies offer rebates for SOME manufacturer's empty carts and not others? They tell you they do it to recycle them and help the planet. BS! If this were true, they would give rebates on all of the carts instead of just certain ones!
They are making money from this somehow and I don't care if they are. I just wish they would offer rebates on empty Canon carts too. Anyone know why they do not offer money an empty Canon carts?
Mike

It would be nice if somebody listed a company in EU that would ship OEM or non OEM canon cartridges that are equal in quality. The cartridges must be empty, remanufactured or whatever is the name.

True. I'm looking for good, already filled, non-OEM cartridges that won't harm the printer in anyway. I don't even care about reproduction quality as long as it's reasonable, it doesn't have to be identical to the OEM.

Mike,
You're making a mistake not filling your own OEM cartridges. There is good quality refill ink out there and it's a snap to refill using the German Durchstich refill method - http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewto … 65&p=1. I can refill a cartridge, with no mess, in not much more time than it takes you to get a new cartridge off your shelf and open it . . . and for about 75 cents per color cartridge and $1.50 for the larger pigment black cartridge. The refilled OEM cartridge is also superior to any third party cartridge you can buy.

True, but where can buy them in EU if possible? I can't find any companies that sell them.

There isn't much of a price break anymore for quality refills to be attractive. I just looked at Abacus and their pricing for TrueStar remans is just a coupla bucks less than OEM.
AtlanticInkjet sells TrueStar also.
What about using your neighborhood Island Inkjet or Cartridge World etc ??
Be advised that your printer uses the easiest cartridges to home refill should you decide to refill yourself.
Post back with any questions. Seal up and save all your empties!
Yes, OA100 carts suck !! Almost killed an iP1500 0f mine !!
